Influence of Biocontrol and Integrated Strategies and Treatment Timing on Plum Brown Rot Incidence and Fungicide Residues in Fruits

Brown rot caused by Monilinia spp. is the main disease of stone fruits. Our research aimed to identify an appropriate strategy control plum brown and reduce fungicides residues in fruit through targeted application biocontrol agents (BCAs) Papiliotrema terrestris Bacillus subtilis, alone or combination with synthetic fungicides. The following treatments were evaluated: Biological (BIO1, BIO2), Integrated (INT1, INT2, INT3), Combined (COMB), all compared Chemical strategy. Five key (seven for BIO2) performed crucial phenological stages cycle: INT1, INT3 approaches consisted, from beginning season, one, two, three treatments, respectively, alternately boscalid cyprodinil followed applications BCA until harvest. After harvest, plums subjected additional treatment two BCAs fruits stored at 20 °C 15 days. results obtained applying our PT22AV, revealed, field postharvest, highest level protection management strategies BIO2 (94.8–97.2% field; 65–84% postharvest) (95.5–97% 63% 91% postharvest). fungicide was zero BIO lower INT as chemical
